The Arc of Indian River County’s Behavior Services Program provides individualized support to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities build positive skills, increase independence, and enhance their overall quality of life. Services are tailored to each individual’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.
Our team works closely with individuals, families, and caregivers to understand behaviors of concern and develop effective, proactive strategies. Through assessment, behavior support planning, and ongoing coaching, we focus on teaching practical skills such as communication, coping, and social interaction, helping reduce barriers to success at home, in the workplace, and in the community.
Behavior Services may include functional behavior assessments, individualized behavior plans, staff and caregiver training, and continuous monitoring to ensure progress and consistency. These supports are designed to promote safety, dignity, and long-term success by reinforcing positive behaviors and creating supportive environments.
By fostering understanding and building skills, the program empowers individuals to reach their fullest potential and participate more fully in everyday life.
