WHY SOME BEHAVIORS OCCUR...

Behaviors are about gratification, reward and what feels good.

There are both desirable and less-than-desirable behaviors.

If an individual feels gratification by exhibiting less-than-desirable behavior, the behavior will continue.

To help an individual change an undesirable behavior, our behavior analyst identifies why the individual exhibits the behavior and teaches that individual alternative behaviors. Through a personally designed reward system, the individual receives gratification when he/she displays the expected behavior.  With the desired outcome, over time, to engage in socially appropriate behavior.
