Residential Group Homes
Where our group homes become their real home. All services are provided to individuals in a group home setting - providing a quality life in a safe and healthy environment. There is "awake staff" supervision at all times, 24 hours a day, when the house is open. We are there to help our residents be as independent as possible, whatever their needs may be, such as helping shop, cook, budget, take a shower, clean their room, wash clothes , toilet, go to medical appointments, learn to operate the radio and telephone, tie their shoes, brush their teeth, ask a girl to dance, plan a date, or learn to read.
The House Manager ensures that bills get paid; medication is ordered and administered as directed, medical care is arranged, and care plans are followed. The House Managers will also coordinate with specialized care providers. Behavior Analysts, Physical Therapists, and others as needed, will implement a care plan in the homes to address the individual's needs and stated goals. Implementation plans include learning to cook, taking a shower, telling time, toileting independently, or anything else the individual chooses or has been identified as needed for the individual to become more independent. Residents will take part in planning their implementation plan, daily activities, outings, and house rules. Residents will have many opportunities to participate in the community such as outings with their peers, visiting clubs and organizations (i.e. Special Olympics, Coffee House, Aktion Club, Special Gatherings) dinning out, going to movies, plus occasional outings to places out of town like Sea World and Halloween Horror Nights. Transportation is provided for all activities for our group home residents. Residential Group Homes provide all of the identified supports necessary in an around the clock, all-in-one package.
