Graduation is an exciting time for most students and their parent; unless your child has special needs, then Graduation takes on another meaning. When school is over, many times our children have nowhere to go, no services and no prospects for employment. That is why it is important to start planning ahead. Here are a couple of links that have helpful information about various topics.
The Arc's Transition Programs
The Arc provides programs through Voc Rehab for high school students to enhance the learning of Pre-Employment Skills, Discover Talents and Interests, and attain Job Internships.
All of our Transition Programs are after school hours and are meant to
promote employment following graduation.
After Graduation our Supported Employment will assist those looking for a job while, our
Day Programs provide safe life enhancing opportunities. We also have
Supported Living and Residential Living options.
